Itinerary
Arrival in Leh
Arrive at Leh Airport and transfer to your hotel. Rest and acclimatize to the high altitude. Evening briefing by the Road Captain. Optional visit to Leh Main Market.
Orientation Ride - Leh Vicinity (40 km)
Short ride to Stone Crusher route, Stok Palace Museum, and Stok Buddha Statue. Familiarize with your motorcycle and terrain. Optional visit to Shanti Stupa.
Leh to Kargil (211 km)
Ride via Hall of Fame, Gurudwara Shri Pathar Sahib, Magnetic Hill, and Sangam. Pass villages Saspol, Nurla, Khaltse. Visit Mulbek Maitreya Buddha. Passes: Fatu La (4,085 M), Namika La (3,700 M).
Kargil Sightseeing (70 km)
Visit Hunderman LoC viewpoint, Hambuting La for panoramic Kargil views, and second Maitreya Buddha rock carving at Apati.
Kargil to Padum (230 km)
Ride through Zanskar Valley via Kartse Khar Maitreya Buddha carving, Suru Valley, Drang Drung Glacier, and Nun-Kun peaks. Mix of highway and off-road. Pass: Pensi La (4,375 M).
Padum Sightseeing (50 km)
Explore Padum: Sani Lake, Karsha & Stongdey Monasteries, Sheela Waterfall, and ancient rock carvings.
Padum to Sarchu (220 km)
Long ride through Zanskar villages, off-road stretches, and water crossings. Pass Gonbo Rangjon, Deepak & Suraj Tal. Cross Shinku La (5,024 M) & Baralacha La (4,821 M).
Sarchu to Tso Moriri (227 km)
Ride across More Plains, Gata Loops, Tso Kar, and arrive at Tso Moriri wetland reserve. Passes: Nakee La, Lachung La, Namshang La.
Tso Moriri to Hanle (150 km)
Ride through Changthang region. Visit Hanle Monastery and Observatory. Passes: Namshang La, Tsaga La.
Hanle to Umling La (160 km)
Ride via Photi La (5,492 M) to Umling La (5,765 M - highest motorable road). Return via Nurbu La.
Hanle to Pangong Tso (146 km)
Ride to Pangong Tso crossing Tsaga La. Optional visit to Rezang La and Chushul War Memorials.
Pangong Tso to Hunder (190 km)
Ride along western Pangong Lake, Tangtse, and Shayok River to Nubra Valley. Visit Diskit Monastery and Maitreya Buddha.
Hunder to Leh (124 km)
Final ride over Khardung La (5,359 M). Descend to Leh. Motorcycle inspection. Rest.
Departure
Transfer to Leh Airport.
