Rider Overlooking Spiti Valley
A 11-day Trans-Himalayan Motorcycle Expedition taking you through the rugged terrains of Lahaul and Spiti. Experience the cold desert landscapes, ancient monasteries, high-altitude lakes, and the raw beauty of the Himalayas. This guided expedition blends adventure with cultural exploration.
Arrive in Manali and check in to the hotel. Ride briefing, document verification, and motorcycle security deposit. Bike inspection. Rest for acclimatization.
Safety briefing and on/off-road riding orientation. Practice group riding techniques. Lunch near Jana Waterfall. Focus on getting comfortable with the motorcycle.
Ride through Kullu Valley towards Jalori Pass. Expect muddy patches and dusty stretches, including the Atal Tunnel. Reach and stay near Jalori Pass.
A long riding day involving ascent and descent of Jalori Pass. Scenic mountain roads with changing landscapes. Road conditions improve towards Sangla.
Ride along the Sutlej River. Views of Reo Pargyul peak. Tea break at Khab (Spiti & Sutlej confluence). Evening walk around Nako Lake.
Early start for a long ride. Pass through Puh and Gue village (mummy). Multiple police check posts for permits. Arrival in Kaza by evening.
Ride to Langza Village, Hikkim (World’s highest post office), Key Monastery, and Kibber Village. Return to Kaza.
Cross Kunzum Pass (4,500 m). Road conditions are rough and broken. Reach the magical Chandratal Lake. Extreme cold expected.
Descend into Lahaul Valley. Lunch halt at Koksar. Join the Manali–Leh Highway. Reach Tandi.
Ride on the Manali–Leh Highway to Baralacha Pass (4,800 m). Visit Jispa, Deepak Tal & Suraj Tal en route. Return to Tandi.
Ride through Sissu and cross the Atal Tunnel (9.2 km). Arrive in Manali by afternoon. End of Expedition.
